How to Maintain and Fix a Cruise Control Switch on 2007 Dodge Ram 2500?

In order to service the cruise control switch, determine the type, the JTEC system has a switch with no pigtail lead and the NGC system one with pigtail leads. It needs to be unscrewed and the switch should be removed to be taken off the steering wheel and the electrical connector or pigtail harness needs to be taken apart.
