2007 Dodge Ram 2500 Parking Brake Cable Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair a Parking Brake Cable for Rear on 2007 Dodge Ram 2500?
A: For service and repair of the rear park brake cable, begin by lifting and supporting the vehicle. Seal off the parking brake cable (2) and loosen the adjuster nut. After that, take out the rear park brake cable from the intermediate park brake cable. Fit the cables end fitting to the frame mount bracket, locating it above the clearance hole and then place the rear park brake cable through the fitted hole. To disengage, simply remove the park brake cable (2) that is located behind the rotor assembly. Compress the cable tabs at each cable's end fitting on the brake cable support plate and pull out the cables from those plates.
