2007 Dodge Sprinter 3500 EGR Valve Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Effectively Service and Repair an EGR Valve on 2007 Dodge Sprinter 3500?
A: When servicing or repairing the EGR Valve, do the Fuel Pressure Release first and then remove the battery's negative cable. After that, unfasten the Engine Cover, Air Filter Housing and Intake Tube, then the Engine Cover Support Brace. Separate the Lower Turbocharger Intercooler Flex Hose (1) and rest the vacuum pump (2) out of the way. No need to worry about wires leading to the EGR Airflow Valve and the IAT harness; just disconnect the front EGR Tube from the Charge Air Crossover Manifold which preceeds the intake manifold. Take out the rear IAT Sensor Housing Bracket bolts (1) and the IAT Sensor Housing Bracket (2) and after that, unscrew the front IAT Sensor Housing bolts (1). The last step is to take out the EGR Airflow Valve Retaining bolts (1) and get rid of the EGR Airflow Valve (2).
