How to Install a Crankshaft Timing Gear and Ensure Proper Timing Belt Alignment on 2008 Chrysler PT Cruiser?

The crankshaft timing gear is pre-positioned by the factory to ensure correct timing belt tracking; however, whenever it is removed, the Crankshaft Damper/Timing Gear Installer 6792 must be used to reset it, since a wrongly installed position can damage the timing belt and engine. Crankshaft Damper/Timing Gear Installer 6792 is needed to install the crankshaft timing gear. After putting in the timing gear, then fit the timing belt and place both timing belt covers, starting from the upper one.
