When servicing the fuel injector on 2.0 and 2.4L engines, first let go of the high-pressure fuel system, check that the area is well-ventilated and avoid sources of spark or smoke, staying clear of them to prevent risking personal injury or death. Remove the negative battery cable from the battery and remove the fuel injectors' electrical connectors. After that, unplug the fuel line from the fuel rail and get rid of the fuel line from the rail. Take the wire harness away from the fuel rail studs first, after which remove the bolts connecting the fuel rail to the lower manifold. Once you've taken off the fuel rail, undo the clip connecting the fuel injector to the rail and then remove the fuel injector clip together with the injector.
