How to Service and Repair a Fuel Pump on 2008 Chrysler Sebring?

Mark the position of the lock ring on the fuel pump module and the fuel pump module itself before you take them out. Follow the instructions for releasing pressure from the fuel system listed in the engine cooling and exhaust part of the guide. Disconnect the fuel pump module's electrical link and take out the fuel line. Use special tool 9340 to unlock the fuel pump module. If there is AWD, unattach the fuel line the connects the fuel pump module to the fuel level unit. Use care, as when removing the fuel pump module, fuel in the reservoir leaks onto the floor. After that, remove the fuel pump module from the fuel tank and dislodge the O-ring seal from the tank as well.
