2008 Chrysler Town & Country EGR Tube Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Service an EGR Tube on a 4.0L Engine on 2008 Chrysler Town & Country?
A: Before servicing the EGR tube on a 4.0L engine, let the engine cool down because the EGR valve and tube get very hot. Always use manual similar paint color card tools instead of power tools near the plastic intake manifold. Remooving the three flange mounting bolts at the intake manifold and then discarding the existing silicone rubber seal is the place to start. After that, take out the three bolts at the EGR valve flange and remove the EGR tube from the valve. After that, take out the gasket that links the EGR valve and the EGR tube.
