How to Service and Repair a Camshaft Position Sensor on a 2.4L Engine on 2008 Dodge Avenger?

When servicing or repairing the camshaft position sensor on a 2.4L, lubricate the sensor O-ring first. Firmly twist the CMP sensor into position so it is seated properly, but do not drive the screw into the bore or it could cause a fault or make the sensor emit no signal. After putting on the mounting bolt, tighten it to 9 Nm (79.5 in. lbs.) before connecting the electrical connector to the camshaft position sensor. Lastly, install the negative battery cable again and put the air cleaner on the throttle body hose, checking that the electric connector of the inlet air temperature sensor is in place.
