How to Properly Service and Repair a Camshaft Position Sensor for 2.0 and 2.4L Engines for Rear on 2009 Dodge Avenger?

Start your service of the rear camshaft position sensor for 2.0 and 2.4L engines by greasing the sensor O-ring. While fixing the CMP sensor, twist it down rather than using the mounting screw to push it or else you might get an incorrect signal or no signal at all. Use the supplied mounting bolt to fix the sensor to the ground and tighten it with 9 Nm (79.5 in. lbs.) of torque. After that, insert the electrical connector into the camshaft position sensor and attach the heat shield over the mounting stud. For the final step, tighten the nut that connects the heat shield. Put the negative cable back on the battery and attach the electrical connector.
