How to Service and Repair a Door Latch Assembly on 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan?

Before servicing or repairing the latch on a sliding door, first detach the battery's negative cable. Then, take out the two mounting fasteners from the door bezel and remove the bezel from the sliding door. After that, take out the three fasteners and the upper rear molding assembly. Lift the door trim panel gently away from the door using a trim stick or other similar object and disconnect any electric wires before disconnecting the sliding door trim panel on your vehicle. Next, remove the glass from the door, then remove the front and back latches with their screws and afterward unscrew the bottom glass channel. Unplug both the electrical and door handle cables at the bottom, before loosening the hold open latch. Then, take away the door module mounting fasteners and gently pull out and lift the door module by raising the rear and lowering the front. Remove the electrical connector from the cinch motor, then undo the cinch motor's mounting screws and take it from the latch/lock grouping. To take out the actuator, remove the connector from its electrical part, remove the mounting screw and detach the actuator from the lock/latch. The last step is to take out the latch/lock assembly from the door in the module.
