  • Q: How to Service and Repair a Fuel Injector on a 3.3/3.8L Engine on 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan?
    A: The first step to working on a 3.3/3.8L fuel injector is discharging the fuel pressure. Remove the battery's negative cable, then take away the clean air hose that is connected to the throttle body. Connect a fuel line release tool to the quick connect fuel line and remove it from the fuel rail. After that, take off the upper intake manifold and make sure to put the marks on the fuel injector electrical harness connectors showing the numbers of each cylinder. Disconnect the fuel injector electrical wiring and remove the bolts that attach the fuel rail. Pull the fuel rail up directly from its spot on the lower intake manifold. Mark or tag the injectors as you remove them so you can put them back in the same place after you install new ones. Once the retaining clips are removed from the fuel injectors on the fuel rail, take the injectors out.
