Before working on the fuel injector, first cut off power to the negative battery cable and remove the
Intake Manifold. After that, remove the wiring from the injector and arrange the
Fuel Rail so the injectors can be accessed easily. Turn the injector and take it out of the fuel rail as you keep the clip attached. Examine the injector O-ring for cracks or cuts and should it be damaged, replace the ring; for used injectors, install a cap on the tip to prevent damage. If the injector clip is broken, put on a new one and repeat the method for all the other injectors. Before you install a new injector, make sure to lubricate the rubber O-ring with one drop of clean engine oil. Place the clip over the top of the injector, sliding the cup's open end into its top slot and the cup's edge into the side slots of the clip. Attach the top end of the injector to the fuel rail receiver cap, making sure you don't harm the O-ring, then do the same thing for all the other injectors. When all injectors are set in place, reinstall the fuel rail, connect up the fuel injector wires, put the Intake Manifold back in and reconnect the negative battery cable.
