How is a Shift Cable Installed on 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan?

The shift cable install requires the rubber grommet in the bulkhead to be fully seated so as not to allow water to infiltrate the passenger compartment. At passenger compartment and in seat the rubber grommet, install the shift cable through the bulkhead. To the bracket connect the gearshift cable then to the transaxle manual valve lever connect the gearshift cable. Once installed to the shifter housing make sure the lock tab (or locking feature) on the shift cable is seated. Next install the cable to the shifter and knee blocker.
