To get rid of the instrument panel, disable the supplemental restraint system by disconnecting the negative battery cable and waiting two minutes. Do not damage the occupant restraint controller. Replace the ORC and the OCM alternately. Disconnect various components, remove screws and lift the instrument panel through the passenger door.
