How to Maintain the Thermostat on a 2.7L Engine on 2008 Dodge Magnum?

To replace the engine coolant thermostat of a 2.7L engine, unscrew the negative cable, and do not take off the pressure-cap when hot. Disconnect the cooling system, take out the lower hose of the radiator and take out the heater tube. Lastly, de-assemble the thermostat, thermostat and O-ring.
