How to Remove a Door Latch Assembly from the Rear Door on 2008 Dodge Nitro?

Before you can remove the rear door latch, take off the carrier plate. After that, remove the latch electrical connector. After that, turn over the carrier plate and lift the latch bracket assembly off the carrier. The lock rods are all color coded so it's easy to see where they are. Disengage the two swing clips in order to pull out the release rod. At three points, the latch is attached to the latch bracket; take off each attachment in turn to remove the latch from the bracket.
