How to Service and Repair a Rear Door Latch Assembly on 2007 Dodge Nitro?

Service and repair the rear door latch by taking out the carrier plate and detaching the latch electrical connection first. After that, turn over the carrier plate and take off the latch bracket assembly. Remove the slide fork from the bracket and check that all lock rods are painted specific colors so that their places are simple to note. Release the swing clips (Codex 2) to remove the release rod (1). To take the latch off the latch bracket, unscrew the attaching screws at each point, in this order: first, second and third.
