How to Replace a Headlight Bulb on 2008 Dodge Nitro?

The headlamp bulb is serviced by first removing and isolating the negative battery cable. Then, pull out wire harness connector 4 from its place on the back of the front lamp unit housing 3, inside the front end module 5. Get a strong hold on the base and rotate it opposite to the clock 30 degrees to unlock it and then remove the bulb and base straight out from the reflector's keyed opening. Be sure not to hold the glass of the bulb in your fingers or bring it close to oily spots, because it can shorten the bulb's life span.
