How to Service and Repair an A/C Hose on a 5.7L Engine for Discharge Line on 2008 Dodge Ram 2500?

Before servicing and repairing the HVAC discharge line on a 5.7L engine, disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable first. Take out the refrigerant from the refrigerant system. After that, remove the connector between the wire harness and the air conditioning pressure transducer (8). Bring out (remove) the nut (2) that holds the A/C discharge line (1) to the A/C condenser (3) and take off the discharge line from the condenser, disposing of the O-ring and gasket. Insert a plug or cover the hole where the discharge line fits, as well as the condenser port. After removing the securing nut, pull the A/C discharge line free of the compressor and eliminate the O-ring from the connection. Tape over or get a plug for each of the open refrigerant lines and the compressor port. Then, take out the A/C discharge line from the space under the hood. Should you need to, take out the A/C pressure transducer from the place where it is connected to the A/C discharge line.
