- Q: How to Install a Seat Cushion in a Mega Cab on 2008 Dodge Ram 2500?A: First, slide the seat cushion foam into the cover, next place the cushion onto the seat pan and then fasten the J-straps to secure the cover in the Mega Cab. After that, set up the seat release lever and fit the cushion assembly onto the seat assembly. First, put in the lower cushion pivot bolts before inserting the upper cushion pivot bolts. Place the release cables using the marks created during removal and then fix the seat back release bezel using a screw. Mount the seat back, tighten it with four bolts, link the lower release cable to the seat back and put in the lower anchor for the center seat belt. In the end, put in both covers for the back section of the seat back, link the J-straps on the bottom of that same section and secure the filler panels in the storage compartment.
