How to Properly Install a Dome Light to Avoid Overheating and Damage on 2008 Dodge Sprinter 2500?

It is important to use a bulb that fits your lamp correctly to stop accidentally causing overheating or damage to the system. When you have a RCM which is over the windshield close to the roof, line up the bottom of the bulb with its holder. Slide the bulb in the bulb holder until it clicks into place. After that, put the bulb into the bulb holder and ensure both are aligned with the keyed opening on the circuit board of the RCM. Then, push the bulb and holder straight into the circuit board until it feels secure. Twist the bulb holder a quarter turn clockwise on the circuit board until it's secure. Attach the RCM to the headliner and then secure the RCM again, plus attach the negative battery cable.
