How to Install a Differential Cover on 2008 Jeep Commander?

Apply a ring of Mopar(R) Gear Sealant RTV Silicone Rubber Adhesive (or its equivalent) to the cover to install the differential cover. The RV cover must be installed within 3 to 5 minutes or else the cover has to be cleaned and another layer of RTV needed to block leaks. After that, put on the cover and make sure to tighten the two bolts in an X-shape to 41 Nm (30 ft. lbs.) torque. Next, place the fill plug and pump the transmission differential full of fluid.
