How to Service a Power Steering Pump on 2008 Jeep Compass?

The first step to servicing the power steering pump is to empty as much of the power steering fluid as you can from the reservoir. After that, pull off the engine appearance cover and take out the pressure hose bracket bolt from the upper engine mount. Release the pressure hose from the pressure port at the pump and dissconnect the supply hose clamp at the pump before taking out the supply hose itself. Following that, pull off the drive belt. Unscrew the three bolts that hold the pump to the frame, using the holes inside the pulley to pull out the pump.
