How to Service and Repair a Gas Secondary Thermostat on 2008 Jeep Compass?

To provide maintenance for the gas secondary thermostat, you should drain some of the system's fluid first. After that, take off the air filter housing and slice the coolant hoses that attach to the back of the coolant adapter. After that, you should remove the radiator hoses at the front and rear sides of the coolant adapter. Once done, pull out the mounting bolts from the coolant adapter and gently remove the adapter from the inlet tube of the water pump to take out both the coolant adapter and the secondary thermostat.
