How to Maintain and Fix a Hood Latch on 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

You should first unscrew the hood latch to service or fix it. After that, pull free the release cable from the three hood release cable retainers. Once you're inside the vehicle, remove the two bolts (2) that hold the hood release handle (1) to the cowl trim panel. In the end, remove the grommet from the cowl panel and take out the complete hood release cable and handle assembly (1).
