How to Safely Remove the Battery Tray on 2008 Jeep Patriot?

In order to take the battery tray out, disconnect the battery negative cable. In case of diesel engines, disconnect the vacuum and electrical leads to the diesel vacuum valve, and then raise the bracket of the valve. Unscrew the battery, then unscrew the bolts and the nut that gives the tray in place, and lastly, remove the tray.
