2009 Chrysler PT Cruiser Car Speakers Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Remove Car Speakers and Subwoofers in Sedans and Convertibles on 2009 Chrysler PT Cruiser?
A: To take out the speaker, unplug the negative battery cable, take off the door panel and then unscrew the speaker parts. After you're done, take out the speaker and remove the wire harness connector. For this type, unhook and isolate the battery negative cable, remove the panel top cover, screw out the speaker retaining screws and remove the speaker as well as the wire connector at the end. For removing the rear speaker in a sedan, turn off the car, disconnect the negative side of the battery, remove the trim on the rear pillar, remove the four screws holding the speaker and then pull the speaker out and disattach the wire connector. First, detach and divide the battery negative cable, take away the quarter trim panel, disconnect the fasteners and then take the subwoofer as well as its electrical cable out of the vehicle. Steps to remove a subwoofer in a convertible are the same: first isolate the battery negative cable, take out the quarter panel edge, unscrew the mounting bolts and remove both the subwoofer and the electrical harness connector.
