  • Q: How to Install a Wiper Motor on 2009 Chrysler PT Cruiser?
    A: The wiper motor should be mounted onto the linkage body and fixed with the three bolts. Once the drive link is reattached to the motor crank ball joint, drop the front wiper module into place in the cowl area and secure it on the three mounting bolts torqued to 8 Nm (75 in. lbs.). Secure the front wiper motor posi-lock harness connector and fix the cowl cover, so the right side lays over the left side. Place the left side cowl cover and hold it in place with three push retainers; place the right side cover and fasten it with four retainers. Put the cowl rear engine seal in place at the cowl. To start, turn on the wiper control to place the front wiper module in the PARK position and guide the front wiper arms so the tip of the blade on the driver's side and the middle of the blade on the passenger's side, reach the park line on the windshield. Operate the wiper arm's over/centered setting, attach the wiper arm retaining nut, torque it to 21 Nm (190 in. lbs.) and next charge the wiper arm nut cap. Connect the last cable from the battery to the negative terminal and slam the hood.
