2009 Dodge Caliber Oil Pressure Switch Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Install an Oil Pressure Switch for a Fuel Pump on 2009 Dodge Caliber?
A: Always be gentle when installing the switch onto the block; that way, you will not tighten it too much which could result in a damaged engine block. Use socket C-4597 or any equivalent to replace the switch and tighten it to 8 Nm (71 in. lbs.). After that, connect the electrical connector to the oil pressure switch. If the compressor is fitted, place it and install three mounting bolts, with tightness of 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.). Should the accessory drive belt need removal, be sure to put it back as soon as possible. After that, place the splash shield on the right side frame rail. After everything is finished, attach the negative battery cable once again.
