How to Remove the Center Console Base on 2009 Dodge Challenger?

In order to take out the floor console, press the parking brakes, switch the ignition switch to On and shuffle to Neutral position. Unhook the battery and then a tool is needed to take the retaining ring apart and remove the shifter knob. Pry open the console bezel, disassemble connectors and fasteners and pull out the console.
