How to Remove and Replace a Piston and Connecting Rod on 2009 Dodge Charger?

To replace the piston and connecting rod use a ridge reamer to clear the cylinder bores when the pistons are covered. Extract the components from the top and mark the placement of connecting rod and bearing caps. Use Special Tool 8189 to remove, keeping surfaces protected in the process. After doing this, reinstall the bearing cap.
