2009 Dodge Durango Radiator Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Remove and Replace a Radiator for 3.7L, 4.7L, and 5.7L Engines on 2009 Dodge Durango?
A: Before you remove the engine cooling radiator for 3.7L, 4.7L and 5.7L trucks, first unhook the negative battery cable and empty the cooling system. At this point, take out the pushpins and get rid of the condenser/radiator seal beside the air filter housing assembly. Remove the upper radiator hose and the overflow tube and set the radiator fan shroud onto the radiator fan. Take out the top radiator support, lift and support the whole vehicle and separate the power steering cooler lines and the transmission cooler lines. Disconnect the lower radiator hose, drop the vehicle and pull out the upper radiator mount plus the left and right radiator side seals. After that, disconnect the radiator and, if needed, remove the power steering cooler and transmission cooler.
