How to Safely Extract the Camshaft from an Engine on 2009 Dodge Grand Caravan?

Before removing the camshaft, take out both the radiator and all the cooling fans. After that, separate the cylinder heads and then remove the timing chain and its camshaft sprocket. After that, take out the yoke retainer and the hydraulic lifters and be sure to note which tappet comes from which location for reinstalling. After that, take out the camshaft thrust plate. Take your time and be careful when pulling the camshaft out, so you do not harm the camshaft bearings. Installing a long bolt into the front end of the camshaft helps you carefully settle the camshaft. The camshaft bearings need to be serviced whenever you service the engine block.
