To eliminate the exhaust crossover pipe on 3.3/3.8L engines, disconnect the negative battery cable, remove fasteners from the left bank manifold and raise the vehicle. Access right bank fasteners through left wheel opening and catalytic converter tunnel and remove crossover pipe and discard gaskets.
