How to Service and Repair the Canister Purge Valve on 2009 Dodge Journey?

Remove and disconnect the negative battery cable at the battery before attending to the Canister Purge Valve. Vehicles with a 3.5L engine should use the instructions outlined for Powertrain Control Module - Removal. After that, disconnect the electrical connector from the evaporator purge valve. Get rid of the purge hose and quick connect fuel tank hose from the evaporator purge valve. At the last step, pull away the tab to remove the valve from its bracket.
