How to Install a Sway Bar Link for Rear Suspension on 2009 Dodge Journey?

First, clean the thread and treat it with Mopar(R) Lock & Seal Adhesive or an equivalent adhesive before you place the nuts to hold the link. First, insert the upper stud of the sway bar link into the far end of the sway bar from the inside of the car, then add the nut and tighten the stud to 48 Nm (35 ft. lbs.) as you hold the stud stationary. The lower stud on the right side link ought to face toward the front when connected through the lower control arm mounting hole, while the left side link bottom stud must face the back. Afterward, fix the sway bar link to the bottom of the control arm, slide the nut onto the stud and tighten the nut to 48 Nm (35 ft. lbs.) while not allowing the sway bar link to move during tightening. After everything else, pull the suspension down until the vehicle touches the stands.
