2009 Dodge Nitro Fuel Injector Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How Is a Fuel Injector Installed into the Fuel Rail Assembly on 2009 Dodge Nitro?
A: Put the fuel injector(s) into the fuel rail assembly and then use retaining clip(s) to lock each injector into place. Should you be using the same injectors, make sure to change their O-rings with new parts. Black O-rings should be installed on the intake manifold end and red/rust colored O-rings at the fuel rail end. Use some clean engine oil on the O-ring of each injector before installing it. After the injectors are installed, fit in the fuel rail and check for fuel leaks by starting the engine.
