How is the Cruise Control Switch Installed in the Steering Wheel on 2009 Dodge Ram 1500?

The speed control switch is located on the steering wheel and is wired through the clock spring that rests under the air bag module. You should install the speed control switch first. From the back of the steering wheel, insert fastener 1 through the back hole 2 of the speed control switch and tighten it to 1.6 Nm (15 in. lbs.). Then attach the fastener 1 to the front part of the speed control switch and tighten it to 1.6 Nm (15 in. lbs.). With the air bag in place, put in the driver air bag and fix the steering column shrouds last.
