2009 Dodge Ram 1500 Intake Manifold Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Remove an Intake Manifold on 2009 Dodge Ram 1500?
A: To take out the intake manifold, bleed the fuel system first. After removing the battery's negative cable, take out the resonator assembly and the air inlet hose. Empty the coolant system below the level indicated by the coolant temperature sensor. Remove the electrical connectors from the ETC, the coolant temperature sensor and the MAP sensor connectors too. After that, remove the vapor purge hose, brake booster hose and positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) hose from the engine. Take off the small transfer tube that sits over the ignition coil towers and the main oil dipstick bolt found on the top of the engine. Shut off the fuel lines then disconnect and move them to another location. Remove the throttle body assembly and the bolts holding the intake manifold in the reverse order you followed to tighten them before getting rid of the intake manifold.
