How to Service the Fuel Pump and Gauge Sender on 2009 Dodge Ram 1500?

In order to service the fuel gauge sender, release the fuel system pressure and disconnect the negative battery cable. Remove the fuel tank by first getting the debris out. Note the indexing arrow on the fuel pump module. Before reassembling, use a lock ring tool to remove the lock ring and replace the O-ring seal.
