How to Maintain a Shock Absorber on 2009 Dodge Ram 1500?

Before servicing the front shock absorber on a 4X2, correctly lift and support the vehicle. Afterward, use another jack to support the lower control arm at its outboard side. You need to spin off the upper shock absorber nut 9362 and its retainer and grommet with a Strut Nut Wrench 9362. Whenever necessary, use an 11/32 socket on the wrench to keep the hex on the shock shaft from turning. In the end, remove the bottom bolts and extract the shock absorber.
