• Q: How to Install a Washer Reservoir on 2009 Dodge Ram 1500?

  A: Put the windshield washer reservoir on the left side of the FEM carrier to install it. Swing the outboard side of the reservoir away from the FEM carrier so you can attach and operate the FEM wire harness connector with the washer fluid level switch connector receptacle located on the back of the reservoir. Pull the reservoir washer hose and the FEM wiring bundle into the trough on the front of the reservoir. Attach the reservoir washer hose on the barbed nipple of the washer pump/motor unit and then reconnect the Fem wire harness connector to the receptacle on the top of the motor housing. Slip the two outboard mounting tabs found on the reservoir into the two slotted loops at either end of the FEM carrier. After that, firmly tighten the four mounting nut screws on the inboard brackets of the reservoir to the upper metal and bottom beams of the FEM carrier. Stand the grille back up front, put in the washer fluid that you saved and link the negative battery terminal again.
