How to Detach a Wiper Arm on 2009 Dodge Ram 1500?

Initially, lift the wiper arm so the blade doesn't touch the glass and the spring pressure is reduced before you can pry it off at the connection to the wiper shaft. Taking care, lift off the plastic cover on the nut located at the pivot of the wiper arm. Following this, take out the nut that holds the wiper arm to the wiper pivot shaft. Because it can damage the wiper arm, be sure not to use a battery terminal puller here. Then, slighty rock the arm to release it from the inner shaft and lift out the wiper arm.
