Replacing hood hinges can be done while leaving the hood on the car. First, take out the cowl grille. Use a grease pencil to show where the hinge goes on the hood for the hinge being repaired. Help out the hood and unplug the support cylinder from the car hood. After that, remove the nuts from the hood to the hood hinge and then remove the bolt connecting the front fender to the hood hinge. First, eliminate the wheelhouse splash shield, after which take out the bolts connecting the hood hinge to the fender rail. At last, move the hood hinge far enough to take the hinge off the engine block.
