How to Detach the Fuel Filler Housing on 2009 Dodge Viper?

First, be sure the vehicle has been safely elevated and supported so that removal of the fuel fill housing can be performed. To prevent any electrical problems disconnect the negative battery cable. Secondly remove the fuel pump relay and run the engine until it stalls thus releasing the pressure in the fuel system.
