How to Safely Detach a Drive Shaft on 2009 Jeep Commander?

Before removing the drive shaft, set the car on a hoist and make sure it is neutral. Put marks on the propeller shaft, pinion flange and transmission/transfer case flanges to remember how they are fitted. Then, remove the propeller shaft from the axle pinion flange and after that from the transfer case flange or transmission flange. After that, remove the propeller shaft from your vehicle. The propeller shaft slip joint boot can be changed and marks should be put on the same area of each shaft for correct joining. If you ignore these instructions, your driveline may shake.
