2009 Jeep Compass Power Steering Hose Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair a Power Steering Hose for Gas Engines for Pressure Hose on 2009 Jeep Compass?
A: Use a siphon tube to remove most of the fluid from the power steering reservoir before you do anything else. After that, remove the engine appearance cover and unhook the pressure hose from the pressure port at the pump. After that, get rid of the pressure hose routing bracket bolt that is clicked in at the upper mount. Apply to all models of the engine vehicle except the 2.4L; exceptions for the 2.4L with All-Wheel-Drive include removing the pressure hose routing clamp bolt at the exhaust manifold as well as for the 2.4L engine with All-Wheel-Drive. Support the car first, then release the return hose where it fits into the return tube after that and then the return tube at the steering gear. Untie the hose going to the steering gear and remove the fixings retaining the power steering hose clamps to the crossmember. Then, get rid of the power steering pressure hose from your car.
