How to Service the Rear Windshield Washer Nozzle on 2009 Jeep Patriot?

The cable that goes to the negative pole of the battery must be removed to service the spray nozzle at the back. After that, take out the screws and bolts holding the spoiler to the outside of the liftgate. Open the rear washer valve, then lift the spoiler to move the liftgate and remove the washer tubing from the nipple on the nozzle. Depress the two integral flaps on the nozzle through the rear of the spoiler while pulling the nozzle out through the front of the spoiler.
