To install the water pump on a 3.3/3.8L engine is to clean the seal groove, install a new seal and install the pulley in a loose manner. Tighten the bolts of a water pump to 12 Nm, and afterward those of the pulley to 28 Nm. Align engine mount, install parts and refill cooling system, checking for leaks.
