How to Service and Repair a Blend Door Actuator on 2010 Dodge Avenger?

Service and repair work on the blend door actuator should be done only after the air bag system has been disabled. To do this, remove the negative cable from the battery and wait two minutes for the capacitor to fully drain, so that accidental deployment does not occur. Remove the glove box bin from right-hand drive versions. After that, remove the wire harness connector from the blend door actuator situated on the left side of the HVAC air distribution housing. After that, unscrew the two screws holding the blend door actuator in the air distribution housing and remove the actuator.
